Terms of Use

These terms govern the use of the Khanah app, the web app and the related website (the Service). By using the Service you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.

1. The Service

Khanah is a personal app for organizing notes, reminders, spending and commitments. It does not move money, connect to bank accounts or offer loans or investments, and the figures it shows are based on what the user records.

2. No advice

Calculations shown in the Service, including the zakat calculator and the daily allowance, are estimates to assist you and are not religious, financial or tax advice. For specific cases, consult a qualified professional.

3. Account

You are responsible for keeping access to your email and device and for not sharing your sign-in code. Khanah may suspend any account used for abuse, attempted intrusion or harm to the Service or others.

4. Subscriptions and payments

• Some features are offered under the Khanah Plus subscription, and Khanah may change the features included in each plan with prior notice.
• A new account may receive a one-time 30-day Plus trial without a payment method, which ends without converting to a paid subscription.
• In-app subscriptions are billed through Google Play or the App Store, renew automatically and can be cancelled in store settings at least 24 hours before renewal. Refunds follow store policy.
• Web prepaid plans in Egypt through Paymob do not renew automatically, and start on the payment date or at the end of any active period.
• The founder price stays fixed as long as the subscription continues without interruption.
• When the subscription ends, sync and automatic backups stop, and your data stays on your devices and can be exported.

5. Your data

The content you enter is yours. You grant Khanah permission to store and process it only as needed to provide the Service, under the Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual property

The names Khanah and خانة, the logo, design and code belong to Khanah. Copying, modifying, decompiling, reverse engineering, redistributing or selling the app, or bypassing its subscription system, is not allowed.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use the Service for unlawful activity, to send spam or abusive messages through the debt reminder feature, or to try to access other users' data.

Shared groups: do not post abusive, threatening, harassing, hateful, sexual, fraudulent or unlawful content, or misleading requests for money. Each member is responsible for what they post. You can report any message and mute any member from the message options, and group organizers can delete messages and remove members. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours, and Khanah may remove content and suspend repeat offenders. Khanah calculates shares from what members enter and is not a party to money between members.

Nearby deals: post only real deals you have seen yourself. Fake or misleading deals, links, prohibited goods or services, and any phone number other than your own shop's are not allowed. Deals come from users and shops, not from Khanah, and Khanah does not guarantee their price or availability, so check with the shop before buying. Repeatedly reported deals are hidden, and Khanah may remove any violating deal and stop repeat offenders from posting.

8. Limitation of liability

Khanah takes reasonable care to keep the Service running and to protect data, and provides the Service as is. Khanah is not liable for indirect losses resulting from reliance on figures or reminders, and keeping a backup is recommended. In all cases Khanah's liability does not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the last 12 months.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings or from the Delete account page. If Khanah discontinues the Service permanently, it will notify you at least 30 days in advance so you can export your data.

10. General

These terms are governed by applicable law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence. Khanah may update these terms and will notify users of material changes in the app before they take effect. Contact: khanah.app@gmail.com.
